As a typical product of transition metal tungsten, tungsten boat, also known as evaporation boat, evaporation boat or coated tungsten boat, is made of tungsten sheet after welding or high temperature stamping, is an important sintering carrier for the preparation of tungsten powder. Due to the tungsten content up to 99.95%, the tungsten boat has physical and chemical properties extremely similar to tungsten. Tungsten boat has high density (19.35g/cm³), high melting point, high strength, high hardness, low evaporation rate, low vapor pressure, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good electrical and thermal conductivity.

Stamped tungsten boat
The pressed tungsten boat is prepared by hot stamping the tungsten plate and making it produce plastic deformation. This type of tungsten boat has good electrical and thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance, wear resistance and other excellent characteristics, widely used with the development control mirror, electron beam painting, household appliances and other vacuum coating industries.
Folding tungsten boat
Folding type tungsten boat is after repeated folding and forging of the tungsten plate, the two ends of the tungsten plate folded and processed, and finally formed the shape of the boat. Folding tungsten boat permeability is strong, folding end is generally small rounded corner or branch shape. Different from other types of tungsten boat, this type of tungsten boat is generally composed of a tungsten boat cover and a tungsten boat body. The tungsten boat cover is provided with an evaporation hole, the evaporation hole is a round hole.
Welding tungsten boat
The welded tungsten boat is also called the heated tungsten boat, which is prepared by welding two tungsten plates at high temperature. This type of tungsten boat can be equipped with steam holes around, and relatively dense, steam holes at the bottom of the boat is relatively loose. The highest temperature resistance is 2600 degrees. Because the welded tungsten boat is made by welding more than two pieces of tungsten plate, the size of this type of tungsten boat is large.
Riveting tungsten boat
A tungsten boat welded with two tungsten plates by rivets becomes a riveted tungsten boat. The strength of the riveted tungsten boat is higher, because of the connection of the rivets, the tightness of the tungsten boat connection is better. The riveted tungsten boat can be customized for larger sizes.
Evaporation tungsten boat
Tungsten boat with high melting point, low saturated vapor pressure and stable chemical properties is widely used as resistance evaporation source in vacuum evaporation coating industry. The evaporation tungsten boat is an essential part of vacuum coating equipment. When the evaporation coating material of the evaporation tungsten boat, the melting point of the material cannot be higher than the melting point of the tungsten boat.
Sintered tungsten boat
Sintered tungsten boat is an important sintering carrier for the preparation of tungsten powder. Or, ammonium paratungstate (APT) is loaded into the sintered tungsten boat for sintering to prepare tungsten powder. APT is mainly white crystal with flake or needle shape, which is used to manufacture tungsten trioxide or blue tungsten oxide to make metal tungsten powder.

Applications of Tungsten Boat

Tungsten boat is generally used for evaporation industry. A ship-type part made of tungsten metal can be connected with wires at both ends, and a low-melting metal is placed in the concave of the middle. When energized, the temperature of the tungsten boat rises to below 2000 degrees, so that the metal evaporates into gas and is plated on the surface of the workpiece above.
